Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge

Released alongside the Galaxy S6 at Mobile World Congress in March 2015, the Galaxy S6 Edge was

Samsung’s innovative attempt at a curved smartphone for the masses. Instead of using the curved

screen for gimmicks, Samsung took a focus on a more impressive viewing experience here. Read

more about the specs here.

Features and spec

Obviously, there’s an easy way to tell this device apart from its sister product – the S6 is flat, while

the S6 Edge’s curved screen bends around the edges of the phone. It does share the same Gorilla

Glass back panel though, and features the fingerprint sensor and Samsung Pay functionality offered

with the S6.

It comes with a 5.1-inch Super AMOLED touchscreen display, which has a 2560 x 1440 pixel

resolution that makes for great viewing, although there are mixed reviews when it comes to viewing

photos on the device.

The photos you take will have been impressive though. Samsung’s Galaxy S6 Edge comes with a

16MP rear-facing and 5MP front-facing camera, with the new features introduced on the original S6

handset too.

Additionally, you’ll experience wireless charging, a non-removable 2,600 battery as well as a 1.5GHz

quad-core processor and 3GB RAM here – which means you’ll have had a smooth experience with

the handset.

32GB, 64GB and 128GB versions of the handsets were available in a range of colours including white

pearl, black sapphire, gold platinum and green emerald.
